Francis Bernard Petrarca

Francis Bernard Petrarca, 92 years old of Cecil, died Monday, June 20, 2022 in Promedica, McMurray.

He was born August 11, 1929 in Blairsville, son of the late Anthony and Delphine Brida Petrarca.

Frank Served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, St. Mary Church, Cecil, He was  Member of Canonsburg Knights of Columbus Council #0329. He loved music, playing the organ and keyboards in different bands but mostly loved socializing with people. He spent time volunteering with Meals on Wheels and enjoyed time with his family.

He worked as a salesman for Duquesne Slag Co then Lafarge Co. in Pittsburgh.

Surviving are wife, Bernice F. Frantz Petrarca of Cecil,  three daughters, Jean (Barry) Watkinson of McMurray, Laura (Eric) Mosso of Mars, and Annette Petrarca of Cecil, 8 grandchildren, Christopher, Anne, Laura, Mark, Nick, Matthew,  Emily and Daniel, 4 great-grandchildren, Jackson, Leah, Ellie, and Luke, and a brother, Jack (Georgetta) Petrarca of Latrobe.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Petrarca.

Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 P.M., Wednesday, June 22 at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil, PA. where prayers of transfer will be said Thursday, June 23 at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, at 10:00 AM with Father David Rombold, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.
