Betty Jane Ainscough

Betty Jane Ainscough, 78 years old of Cecil, died Friday, June 24, 2022 in Washington Hospital.

She was born  September 23, 1943 in Cecil, daughter of the late George  and Sadie Bell Eckels Powell.

Betty was a homemaker who enjoyed shopping, cooking, baking and supporting her childrens activities. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy; she loved having Sunday family meals. Over the years Betty was a den mother, dance mom, and a huge supporter of youth football boosters.

Surviving are  her husband, David Ainscough of Cecil, PA, Son, David B. (Nancy) Ainscough of Cecil, Son, Frank (Kelly) Ainscough of Wellsburg, WV, Son, John (Stacey Miller) Ainscough of Hickory, Daughter, Janie (Angelo Golato) Taylor of Cecil, Grandchildren, Zachary Smith, Tyler, David T. and Ethan Ainscough, Brother, Robert ‘Spook’ (Mimi) Powell of Cecil, Brother, John ‘AP’ (Kathy) Powell of Lawrence.

She was preceded in death by brother, George Simon Powell, sister Patty Brackman.

Friends will be received 6-7:30 P.M., Monday, June 27, at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil, where a Blessing Service will be held at 7:30PM.

Interment will be private.
