Janet M. Slimick

Janet M. Slimick, 89 years old formerly of Cecil, died Saturday, February 5, 2022 in Evergreen Assisted Living.

She was born February 5, 1933 in Bishop, daughter of the late Steve and Bertha Mouraret Adams.

She was a member of Cecil American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed Traveling and her grandchildren.

She worked 24 years as a Civilian Commercial Traffic Supervisor for Department of Army,Transportation Office, Oakdale.

Surviving are three sons, T. Mark (Martha) Slimick of Oak Island, NC, Douglas A. Sr. (Kathy) Slimick of Bethel Park, and Dale E. (Toneen) Slimick of Sarasota, FL, daughter, Paula M. (Jeffrey, Sr.) Sakal of Washington, PA, nine grandchildren, Neal (Meghan), Joseph (Mirka), Douglas, Jr. (Tricia), Darren, Dale, Jr. (Rebecca), Kristopher (Rachael), and Nicholas Slimick, Jeffrey Jr. (Laureann) and Timothy (Rachael) Sakal, great-grandchild, Paxton, Audra, Sophie, Jonah, Maisie, Della, Julia, and Luna Slimick, Ethan, Emma and Caleb Sakal, brother, Ronald (Cindy) Adams of Canonsburg, and sister, Joyce Patnesky of Scott Twp.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Theodore Slimick, two sisters, Margaret (Bill) Teyssier, Marcella (George) Jiblets, and three brothers, Robert (Martha) Adams, William (Mary) Adams and Thomas (Ann) Adams.

To honor her wishes there will be no visitation.

Services will be held at Corpus Christi Parish, St. Mary's Church, on Thursdsay, February 17, 2022 at 10:00AM with Father Dennis Yurochko, officiating.

Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.

A celebration of life will be held in Sarasota, FL. at a later date.
