Charles William McCarthy

Charles William McCarthy, Jr., 74 years old of Southview, died Monday, March 21, 2022 in Allegheny General Hospital.

He was born October 15, 1947 in Canonsburg, son of the late Charles W. and Elma Robison McCarthy, Sr.

He studied Uechi Ryu Karate and was a 4 degree black belt. He enjoyed watching movies and hunting.

He worked as a Aide at Mayview State Hospital for over 30 years.

Surviving are his wife, Kathy Loudin McCarthy of Southview, sons, Charles W. (Susie) McCarthy, III of Pittsburgh, David Loudin and Dana Loudin of Southview and Robert McCarthy of McDonald, daughter, Michelle (Shane) Orton of Seattle, WA, 13 grandchildren, Mom, Betty Hootman McCarthy of Southview, brothers, Lawrence (Terri) McCarthy, of Florida, Oliver McCarthy (Companion Judy Spencer) of Bridgeville, Daniel McCarthy, Hank (Kim) McCarthy, and sister, Ellen ( Nuts) Wytovich all of Southview, many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 P.M., Monday and Tuesday, March 28 & 29 at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil, PA. 15321 where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 12:30 PM with Pastor John Patterson Officiating.

Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, with full military honors accorded by Canonsburg VFW 191 Honor Guard.
